Place of the Project: City of Buenos Aires (Cauca)

Community participant: Musicians and cultural managers in the municipality of Buenos Aires (Cauca).

Objectives:

• Documenting traditional musical practices (songs, music and lyrics) that are still in force between the community 
• Jointly explore alternatives to strengthen its transmission to new generations 
• Develop alternatives disclosure of local cultural heritage. 
• Date of work: The project started in May 2010 and November 2011 was extended Although the investigation phase concluded, the work remains currently in the stages of dissemination of results and outreach.

Results:

• Recordings of traditional songs and fiddle music 
• Biographical profiles of musical practitioners of the region 
• Documentation (photography, video, audio) of traditional songs and fiddle music
