The River Music program is an initiative of the Universidad Javeriana Cali that seeks to promote and strengthen local music geographical Cauca valley as a benchmark for regional identity and integral development as a vehicle for all its inhabitants. Their actions are advanced along three lines: research documentation, dissemination, circulation, and education.
Since 2007 the program has recorded audio and video, photography and studies on local music of the region, with support from the private and public sectors and the regional academy.
The program activities are conducted by MartinaPombo, an interdisciplinary team that brings together musicians, visual artists, anthropologists, musicologists, engineers, and music students, social communication and industrial design universities Javeriana Cali, Cauca and ICESI.
